Market Entry Services for Selling in a New Country
A dedicated caller who phones businesses in your new market during their working hours and books meetings for your team, with no office or local hire. Calls start in about 2 weeks, month to month with 30 days' notice. In Africa and Latin America, sales reps can also sell face to face.
Market Entry Services, in Short
Market entry services help a company start doing business in a new country. Switchstack handles the sales part: a dedicated caller who phones businesses in your new market during their working day and books meetings for your team, with no office or local hire needed. Calls start in about 2 weeks, in English or Spanish, and a full-time caller costs $1,499 to $3,099 a month, depending on the caller's country and whether we manage the calling. To sell face to face in Africa or Latin America, full-cycle sales reps cost $3,900 to $4,200 a month. Both run month to month with 30 days' notice.
Prices, third-party fees and calling rules reviewed November 2026.
What Do Market Entry Services Cover?
Market entry services cover five jobs: research and strategy, company setup, employing staff, finding buyers and selling face to face. Different firms do each one. Consultants plan, lawyers and accountants set up the company, and an employer of record can employ staff for you. Switchstack does the selling: finding buyers in the new country and getting them into meetings with your team.
| Job | Who usually does it | Switchstack |
|---|---|---|
| Research and entry strategy | Market entry consultants and research firms | No. Bring your plan, or a country and a buyer you want to test. |
| Company setup, licenses and tax | Corporate service firms, lawyers and accountants | No. You don't need a local company to start calls with us. |
| Employing people in the country | Your own local company, or an employer of record | Not needed. We contract and pay your caller or rep. |
| Finding buyers and booking meetings | Your sales team, an agent or an outsourced calling team | Yes. A dedicated caller working your buyers' hours, in English or Spanish. |
| Selling face to face on the ground | Local sales reps, agents or distributors | Yes, in Africa and Latin America, with full-cycle sales reps. |
What Are the Ways to Start Selling in a New Country?
There are five common routes: hire your own salesperson there, hire through an employer of record, appoint a distributor or agent, use an outsourced caller, or use an outsourced sales rep. They differ most in how soon the first sales call happens and what you're tied into. An outsourced caller is the quickest, with calls starting in about 2 weeks.
| Route | First sales calls | Monthly cost | What you commit to |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hire your own local salesperson | After you set up a company there, recruit and onboard | Salary plus employer costs: about $6,290 for an SDR in the US (PayScale, BLS) | An employment contract under local law |
| Hire through an employer of record (EOR) | After you recruit and onboard. No local company needed | Salary and employer costs, plus an EOR fee from $599 a month (Deel pricing, Remote pricing) | An employment contract. Remote's $599 price is for annual contracts |
| Appoint a distributor or sales agent | Once you've found and signed one | Commission or the distributor's margin on each sale | A contract that hands them your pitch, prices and customer relationships |
| A dedicated caller (Switchstack) | About 2 weeks | $1,499 to $3,099, set by the caller's country and who manages them | Month to month, 30 days' notice |
| A full-cycle sales rep in Africa or Latin America (Switchstack) | About 4 weeks | $3,900 to $4,200, flat, no commission | Month to month, 30 days' notice |
Hiring locally makes sense once you know the market will pay. A distributor brings existing customers but takes your margin and owns the relationships. An outsourced caller is the quickest way to find out whether buyers will take a meeting at all. It costs less than a local salary in the US, the UK or Australia, and you can stop with 30 days' notice.
How Do You Test a New Market in 90 Days?
To test a new market in 90 days, put one dedicated caller on the country for three months: about 2 weeks to set up, then 11 weeks of calls, then a decision based on real conversations. With We Call for You, the test runs like this:
- Week 1. A call about the country, the buyers you want, your offer and what counts as a qualified meeting.
- Weeks 1 and 2. We check your list against the country's calling rules, then shortlist callers and test them on role-plays with your offer. You approve one.
- Weeks 3 to 6. Calls start during your buyers' working hours. You hear the recordings and get a weekly report: calls made, conversations and meetings booked.
- Weeks 7 to 10. We drop the segments that don't answer or don't fit, sharpen the opening line and push harder where meetings come from.
- Weeks 11 to 13. A review with you: what buyers said, who took meetings and what they asked for. Then you scale, switch countries or stop.
What do the results tell you?
Each pattern in the first 90 days points to a different next step:
| What you see | What it points to |
|---|---|
| Meetings booked, and deals moving after them | Add callers, or start hiring locally with proof of demand in hand |
| Conversations, but few meetings | Change the offer, the opening line or the job titles you call |
| Meetings, but deals stall on local presence or language | Add a local partner, a rep on the ground or local-language selling |
| Hardly anyone picks up | Fix the list: wrong numbers, wrong titles or the wrong segment |
| Buyers say no for the same reason, again and again | That reason is your market research. Decide whether it can be fixed |

- Calls in Arabic, French, German, Portuguese or Japanese. Our callers speak English and Spanish.
- Market research reports, company setup, licenses, or payroll for your own staff.
- Sales reps on the ground outside Africa and Latin America.
Entering the US Market: Which Rules Apply to Calls From Abroad?
US calling rules apply wherever your caller sits. The TCPA covers callers outside the United States when the person called is in the US (47 U.S.C. 227), and the FTC says its Telemarketing Sales Rule covers calls to US consumers from abroad (FTC). For calls to businesses, the practical rules are short: check any personal or mobile number against the National Do Not Call Registry, make every call with a live person, and stop when someone asks.
An SDR you employ in the US costs about $6,290 a month with benefits (PayScale, BLS). A dedicated caller from the Philippines, Latin America or India works Eastern or Central hours from $1,499 a month. See cold calling services in the US and the US cold calling laws.
Entering the UK and Europe: What Changes by Country?
In the UK, live sales calls to businesses are legal under PECR, but you can't call numbers registered with the TPS or Corporate TPS unless that business has said it's happy to hear from you (ICO). Germany is stricter. Under section 7 of its Unfair Competition Act, a sales call to a business needs at least presumed consent, meaning a concrete reason to believe it would welcome the call (UWG § 7 (German)). A German campaign starts with that reason noted against every contact.
Our callers call in English, which suits the UK and Ireland, and international or English-speaking teams in Germany, Switzerland and the Nordics. South Africa is one or two hours ahead of London, so callers there work your buyers' day as a normal day shift. Read our UK, Germany, Spain and Netherlands law guides before you pick your first country.
GCC Market Entry: How Do You Sell Into the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar?
Three things shape a Gulf launch. Saudi Arabia and Qatar work Sunday to Thursday, while most UAE businesses work Monday to Friday, and your caller follows your buyers' week. In the UAE, Cabinet Resolutions 56 and 57 of 2024 allow marketing calls only between 9am and 6pm and ban calls to numbers on the Do Not Call Registry, with fines of up to AED 150,000 (Mondaq). And Arabic is the main business language in Saudi Arabia, so English-speaking callers fit best with international companies and larger firms.
Callers in India and South Africa cover the Gulf business day as a normal day shift. Saudi and Qatari rules lean toward prior consent for marketing, and how they apply to live business calls isn't settled, so take local legal advice before a large campaign. See our pages on the UAE, Saudi Arabia and Qatar.
Entering Africa and Latin America: Callers or Sales Reps on the Ground?
Both are available: callers who book meetings, and full-cycle sales reps for buyers who expect a visit. Our reps are based in South Africa, Mexico and Colombia, and cost $3,900 a month in Africa and $4,200 in Latin America, flat, with no commission.
They find buyers, visit them, take orders, handle after-sales and follow up on payments, so they suit manufacturers and exporters who need someone on the ground, not just meetings. See our outsourced sales team, or book a call about sales reps.
Calling into South Africa works differently from most markets. The Information Regulator treats phone calls as electronic communication under section 69 of POPIA, so a sales call to anyone who isn't already your customer needs their consent first (Information Regulator). Campaigns there work best as warm calling, and the South Africa guide explains why.
For Spanish-speaking Latin America, callers in Mexico and Colombia call in Spanish or English, and we check each country's rules on your list before calls start.
What Do Larger Companies Check Before Signing?
Before signing, larger companies usually check who owns the data, whether their information stays confidential, how long the contract runs, how call quality is checked and who checks the local rules. With Switchstack, your lists, recordings and notes stay yours, and the contract runs month to month with 30 days' notice. The full answers, from our terms of service and how we run every campaign:
| Question | Our answer |
|---|---|
| Who owns our lists, recordings and notes? | You do. Our terms of service say they stay yours, and when our work ends we delete or return them at your request. |
| Is our business information kept confidential? | Yes. Our terms commit us to sharing it only with the callers, reps and service providers who need it to do the work. |
| How long is the contract? | Month to month, with 30 days' notice. There's no setup fee and no charge per meeting. |
| How do we check the quality of the calls? | Every call is recorded, and you get a weekly report of calls made, conversations and meetings booked. |
| What if the caller or rep isn't right? | We replace them free in the first 30 days. |
| Who checks the calling rules in the new country? | We check your list against that country's rules before calls start and tell you where you need local legal advice. Our guides summarize the rules, but they aren't legal advice. |
Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data.
