Car Dealership Appointment Setting
A dedicated caller who phones your new leads while they're still shopping, books test drives and showroom visits with your sales team, and confirms them the day before. Like an outsourced BDC, in English or Spanish. Calls start in about 2 weeks.
Car Dealership Appointment Setting, in Short
Switchstack gives car dealerships a dedicated caller who phones your new leads, such as website enquiries, test drive and trade-in requests, and books showroom appointments and test drives with your sales team. It works like an outsourced BDC: your caller works your lead list during your opening hours and confirms each appointment the day before. Callers in Latin America speak English and Spanish. Hire a caller for $1,499 to $2,399 a month, or have us manage the calling for $2,199 to $3,099. There's no setup fee and no charge per appointment, and calls start in about 2 weeks.
The faster a new lead gets a call, the more likely you are to reach them. Our speed to lead statistics collect the research on response times.
Which Leads Your Caller Works
Your caller phones people who have already been in touch with your dealership:
- Enquiries from your website and chat
- Test drive and trade-in valuation requests
- Leads from car listing sites
- Enquiries that went quiet, while the calling rules still allow a call
We don't buy or supply leads, and your caller doesn't cold call people who never contacted you. For how calling your own leads works in other industries, see inbound lead follow-up.
From Lead to Appointment
- Call while they're still shopping. New leads go to the top of your caller's list, newest first, during your opening hours.
- Check what they want. The vehicle or type they're after, when they plan to buy, and whether they have a trade-in.
- Book a time. A test drive or showroom visit at a set time, with the salesperson you choose.
- Confirm the day before. A reminder call or message, and a new time for anyone who can't make it.
- Follow up no-shows. Your caller phones people who missed their appointment and offers another time.
You get a recording of every call, and a note on each lead: what they want, when they plan to buy, any trade-in, and the appointment time.
What Stays with Your Team
Your caller books appointments. They don't quote prices, value trade-ins, discuss financing or ask credit questions. Those conversations stay with your sales and finance teams, at the appointment.
Calling Leads in English and Spanish
Callers in Latin America are tested on role-play calls in English and Spanish, so one caller can work your leads in either language. Their working day also lines up with North American opening hours.
See Latin American cold callers for prices and how we test them.
Hours and Cover
Your caller works full time, 40 hours a week, during your opening hours. Leads that arrive outside those hours are called at the start of the next shift. If most of your leads come in at other times, tell us when, and we'll recommend a caller country whose working day covers them.
Calling Rules for Dealership Leads
Your leads are consumers, so consumer calling rules apply. People who enquired with you can usually be called for a limited time, even if their number is on a do-not-call register:
| Country | Can you call a lead who asked? | For how long |
|---|---|---|
| United States | Allowed if they enquired in the last 90 days | 90 days from an enquiry, 540 days from a purchase |
| Canada | Allowed if they enquired in the last 6 months | 6 months from an enquiry, 18 months from a purchase |
| United Kingdom | Allowed if they told you they don't object to your calls | Until they withdraw it |
| Australia | Allowed with their consent | 3 months, unless they agreed to a longer period |
- When someone asks not to be called again, your caller stops and records it.
- Some US states also limit sales calls to consumers, for example to 8am to 8pm in Florida, Oklahoma and Maryland, with no more than three calls in 24 hours on the same subject. See calling laws by state.
The sources and details for each country are in do not call exemptions by country. This is a plain summary, not legal advice.
