# Cold Calling Services in Germany

Our callers call in English. In Germany, that works for international companies, tech and startup teams, and the German offices of foreign firms, where English is the working language. For traditional Mittelstand companies, a German-speaking caller will do better.

## Is B2B cold calling legal in Germany?

Yes, but Germany is one of the strictest countries in Europe. Under the Act against Unfair Competition (UWG), a sales call to a business needs at least its presumed consent: a concrete reason to believe it would welcome your call. Pure cold calls with no such reason risk cease-and-desist letters from competitors and trade associations.

## Calling rules
- Under section 7 of the Act against Unfair Competition (UWG), a sales call to a business is only allowed with at least its presumed consent (mutmaßliche Einwilligung). Calls to consumers need express consent beforehand.
- Presumed consent needs a concrete reason to believe the business would welcome your call, such as an enquiry it made, a conversation at an event, or a clear need for what you sell. A general fit with your target market usually isn't enough, and you have to be able to show the reason.
- Before calls start, we go through your list with you and only call contacts where you can show that reason. We note it against each contact.
- Automated calls need express consent even for businesses. Every call we make is a live call.
- GDPR applies to named contacts, and anyone who asks not to be called again is never called again.

## Who makes your calls

Germany is Europe's largest economy, and a lot of its business runs in English: international headquarters, the tech and startup scene in Berlin and Munich, and the German offices of foreign companies. That's where our English-speaking callers fit.

Germany also has some of the strictest rules in Europe on calling businesses, so calling there works best as warm calling: following up on inbound interest, event contacts and companies with a clear, documented need for what you sell.

- **Callers in South Africa** (We Call for You $2,899/month, Hire a Caller $2,199/month): On the same time as Germany in summer and one hour ahead in winter, so it's a normal day shift. Many callers speak English as a first language.
- **Callers in India** (We Call for You $2,199/month, Hire a Caller $1,499/month): Our lowest price. A German business day is an afternoon shift in India.
- **Callers in the Philippines** (We Call for You $2,499/month, Hire a Caller $1,799/month): An afternoon and evening shift in Manila.

## FAQs

### Can you cold call German businesses?

Only where there's a reason to believe the business would welcome the call, which German law calls presumed consent. In practice, we work best in Germany on follow-ups to inbound interest, event contacts and accounts with a clear need, not on bought lists.

### Do your callers speak German?

No. Our callers call in English, which works for international companies and English-speaking teams in Germany. For buyers who prefer German, a German-speaking caller will do better.
